I was gonna use “prom” as all my titles but it sounds lame, like all thos magazines that come out during prom season, so I’ll just name it something else.

Woot! So, I just found out yesterday that prom is this weekend (at my old high school), which makes me really excited because it gives me a chance to post dressed-up outfit without feeling too out of place here I will probably be posting a couple of “prom” outfits for the rest of this week… or more, because I love dressing up. So let’s see the first one!

I am so mad at myself today. I spent about 2 hours working on a semi-delicate ceramic piece, which turned out great. I then proceed to brush on some slip (base color), then decided that it would be easier to just dip it. So dip I did. I walked back to check on my piece 5 minutes later to fine that it has collapsed due to too much water. After that I thought “Oh, well. I’ll start over. Learn from mistakes yada yada yada…” but the more I think about how much work and patience I put into it and how perfect it turned out, I want to go to the corner and cry and bang my head against the wall. I am not even in the mood to construct an outfit right now. But I’ll do it. It’s probably gonna be crappy, but certainly cannot be any crappier than my day.

On the other side: today’s weather is lovely. A bit too cloudy, but lovely.

Today’s weather is surprisingly nice! I love it, I love it, I love it. So very mellow. Anyways, I saw a springtime fuschia plant in front of Wholefoods today and it was so so pretty. So I want to incorporate the lovely pink color into my outfit today. And since the weather is nice, we can add a little more razzles dazzles today. =]

Simplicity

Thanks for you input, Dues Ex. I guess I didn’t explain how I imagined each piece to be worn clearly enough. Not owning the pieces makes it difficult to customize them to the way I wish. Just a little note for the last outfit: the shirt is supposed to be only loosely tucked into the skirt, not taut, so the draping can definitely be seen especially the neckline which I wanted highlight, and the cardigan is also not supposed to be buttoned and its deep-v neck won’t hide the drapes. Initially I intended this blog to be only pictures and no words, but I guess since I started incorporating writing to each post more and more, a little more detailed explanation wouldn’t hurt. Thanks again, I really appreciate you visiting my blog.

Today is, once again, another hot day. Definitely too uncomfortable to dress up (for me). Even the thought of putting together an outfit makes me feel uncomfy already. Haha. But I’d still do it anyways. Really simple– I cannot be bothered to make fancy-schmancy outfit with lots of jewelries.

Popcorn

Wow. It’s amazing how a great night turned suddenly in a horrible morning! Last night Sping Sing was AMAZING. I’m so glad I didn’t decide to sell my ticket. However, I woke up this morning hearing my brother yelled, “HEYYY! POPCORN RAN AWAY FROM HOME!!!” (Popcorn is my little dwarf hamster). I was, like, wtf? Turns out, someone left the his cage door open so he got out. We (well, mostly me) spent hours looking for him and I cried so much my eyes puffed and reddened. We finally found him in a dark corner.

So, today’s outfit is totally dedicated to my beloved hamster. It’s inspired by his color (a mix of gray brown white black).
